Design Turns Retired Bridge Into Vertical Village

The winning design for repurposing a soon to be decommissioned bridge on the Reggio Calabria Highway in Italy. The self-supporting "village" would include a geothermal plant, rainwater capture and a heating system that runs on methane from a waste biodigestor.

Hug Your Farmer: A Benefit for Pete’s Greens

[Update: 1/31/11 We're pleased to announce the show is sold out.] In the spirit of community that helps to make Vermont a special place, we've organized a benefit concert for our friends at Pete's Greens at Higher Ground next Thursday (Feb. 3rd), with 100% of ticket sales going to the farm's rebuild and recovery. The all-star lineup includes Page McConnell and Jon Fishman of Phish, along with some of Vermont's best local musicians. The event is presented by Love Tomorrow Today and Select Design, with additional support from Healthy Living and Gardener's Supply..
