QR Codes At Bus Stops

We’ve tracked the use of QR codes for sometime, waiting for a big splash only to see a muted ripple. But could that ripple finally be turning into a wave? Hard to say, but we’re interested to see a Norwegian transit company create “a more efficient and sociable mass transit experience through their adoption of QR code technology.” Kolumbus is providing QR codes at each bus stop, as well as on the printed schedules, which passengers can scan while waiting for their bus to arrive. The barcodes will not only link passengers to more timely mass transit info and departure times, but will also provide a way for them to share info with each other. For more, check out the links below.
